Of course disaggregation is not ideal for consumers. Yet, they are increasingly cutting cable and subscribing to more streaming services. The premise of this piece was not “everyone will be delighted,” but that a critical mass of consumers will subscribe to the biggest players in the SVOD market, and that there is no point in talking about who will “win.” Consumers may not be “interested” in subscribing to multiple services, yet they are, and will increasingly do so. There will be an eventual re-bundling / aggregation in 5–10 years, but not until it’s clear who has the leverage to pull it off.

Also, I am not in the media streaming business, although I was in the past. I have no horses in this race.
